Sam Chrol, she/they
Canadian Certified Counsellor
Sam is a Canadian Certified Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, as well as a Professional Art Therapist with the Canadian Art Therapy Association. She has engaged in therapeutic work with individuals, groups, and communities in both Winnipeg and Vancouver, where she completed her Masters in Counselling Psychology Art Therapy at Adler University in 2017.
Advanced training in Deep Brain Reorienting (all three levels offered) and Brainspotting (all four levels offered) has provided Sam with a broad foundation of the relationship between the subcortical brain, the nervous system, and the body. Starting with her graduate level training in Art Therapy, Sam has long held an understanding that emotional expression and emotional relief is most deeply felt beneath the realm of words.
These pathways often work well for children (8 years and up), adolescents, adults, and older adults who are experiencing distress from any number of causes. With a trauma-informed, decolonizing approach to mental health and wellness, Sam sees the world through a harm reduction lens. The world can be hard enough to live in, if there is anyway to make healing a little bit softer to move through, then why not start with that.
